Anita Breslin

ANITA BRESLIN

Managing Director

Anita Breslin is a Managing Director and the Regional Director of Real Estate responsible for asset and property management for Sentinel’s East region residential portfolio. She joined Sentinel in 1978. In her tenure at the firm, she has also served as an acquisitions officer and as the Senior Asset Manager for the East region. Prior to that, Ms. Breslin served as a Property Accountant and subsequently as Residential Accounting Controller until 1986. Ms. Breslin graduated from Queens College of the University of the City of New York with a BS degree and has completed coursework towards her Master's degree in Business Management.

Keith Lucas

KEITH LUCAS

Director of Development

Keith Lucas, AIA, ARA, LEED AP, is Director of Development at Sentinel Development Manager Pty Ltd responsible for Sentinel's Australian Development Management team. He is located in Sentinel's office in Melbourne, Australia. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2016, Mr. Lucas served as Senior Partner and Studio Director at MJM+A Architects, pllc in New York City. Mr. Lucas received his AB from Princeton University and currently holds architectural licenses in the US. He has served on the National Board of Directors for the Society of American Registered Architects as well as being past-President of the New York Council. Mr. Lucas has also been selected as a member of the Green Building Council of Australia's Industry Advisory Group.

Robin Blauer

Robin L. Blauer is a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager responsible for implementing the investment strategy for several of Sentinel’s commingled funds and separate accounts. Ms. Blauer joined Sentinel in 1997. Her professional career began at The Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York where she had real estate responsibilities in asset and portfolio management, mortgage originations and acquisitions of real estate for institutional clients. In 1992, Ms. Blauer joined Saylor Property Capital, a real estate consulting firm offering services to institutional investors in property financial analysis, due diligence, workout strategies and portfolio management. Most recently, she was a principal of Chadwick, Saylor & Co. Ms. Blauer received her BA degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her Master of City Planning degree from Harvard University. She is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association and the Urban Land Institute.

Paul D'Elisa

Paul D’Elisa is a Senior Vice President responsible for all statistical and financial analyses for Sentinel's Research & Communications Department. Prior to joining Sentinel in 1990, Mr. D’Elisa was an Analyst with Greyside Realty Corporation. Mr. D’Elisa received a BA in Economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and an MBA from Dowling College.

William A. Freydberg is a Senior Vice President responsible for residential transactions. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2002, he was Senior Vice President with First Sterling Financial Group, a real estate syndication firm from 1996 to 2001. Prior to that, he served as Director and Chief Representative of AMTAD New York, Inc., the investment and development arm of Takenaka Corporation. Mr. Freydberg received a BS from Cornell University and a Master of Science degree from New York University.

Marisa Gaedig

Marisa Gaedig is a Senior Vice President responsible for the implementation and support of the asset management/accounting information systems for the residential and commercial portfolio. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2000, she was an Asset Manager and Portfolio Controller at SSR Realty Advisors. Previously, she was a Portfolio Accountant with Fosterlane Management Corporation, a subsidiary of the Kuwait Investment Office. Ms. Gaedig received a BBA from Southwest Texas State University.

Maria Galarza-Murray is a Senior Vice President and Controller in Sentinel’s Corporate Accounting Department. Ms. Galarza provides oversight for many of the processing applications, including vendor procurement, treasury and corporate accounting systems. Prior to joining Sentinel in 1995, she was an Accounting Manager in the insurance industry. Ms. Galarza received a BBA from Hofstra University.

Vanessa Healy is a Senior Vice President and the Regional Director of Real Estate responsible for asset and property management for Sentinel's West region residential portfolio, as well as for the firm's build to rent portfolio in Australia. Previously, she was responsible for analysis of asset management, property management and capital programs. She joined Sentinel in 2006 as an Asset Manager in Sentinel's high-rise/mid-rise residential portfolio group. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Healy was a Real Estate Paralegal at Ingram, Yuzek, Gainen, Carroll and Bertolotti, LLP, and has significant experience in transactional real estate matters. She holds a BS in Social Policy from Northwestern University and an MS Ed in Educational Policy from the University of Pennsylvania.

Brian Kraut is a Senior Vice President responsible for Sentinel’s financing activities. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2008, Mr. Kraut worked at The Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group where he arranged debt, mezzanine and equity financing. Prior to that, he was a Finance Manager at Cendant Corporation and a Manager at Arthur Andersen. Mr. Kraut is a Certified Public Accountant and received a BS degree from Binghamton University and an MBA degree from Fordham University Graduate School of Business.

Robert Maleszewski is a Senior Vice President and Regional Director of Real Estate responsible for asset and property management for Sentinel’s North region residential portfolio group. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Mr. Maleszewski was a Vice President at BlackRock, specializing in industrial, office and residential asset management. He holds a BA in Finance from Indiana University and an MS in Real Estate from New York University.

Cindy Miata is a Senior Vice President responsible for commercial property acquisitions and dispositions, including office, industrial and retail assets. She also serves as a Portfolio Manager for two of Sentinel’s separate accounts. Ms. Miata joined Sentinel in 1998 as an Analyst and has worked on property transactions, due diligence and asset management since that time. Prior to joining Sentinel, Ms. Miata held a variety of accounting positions at ING Capital Corporation. Ms. Miata received a BS degree from St. John’s University and an MS in Real Estate Investment & Development from New York University. She has received designations as a LEED Green Associate, a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

Joe Stein

Joseph Stein is a Senior Vice President in Sentinel’s financial reporting group where he serves as Controller responsible for fund level accounting and reporting. He also oversees the completion of Sentinel's annual System and Organizational Controls (SOC) certification. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2000, Mr. Stein was a Supervising Senior Auditor with Marin & Montanye, LLP, a certified public accounting firm that specialized in residential real estate, from 1995 to 2000. He also served as an Auditor with Biscotti, Grassi & Co, LP, a certified public accounting firm from 1993 to 1995. Mr. Stein received a BA in Accounting from Queens College.

James Allan

James C. Allan, Jr. is a First Vice President and Director of Research in Sentinel's Research & Communications Department. Mr. Allan is responsible for market research for both the residential and the commercial sectors. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2000, Mr. Allan worked as an Associate Real Estate Appraiser with the appraisal firm of Mitchell, Maxwell & Jackson. Nancy Aly is a First Vice President in Sentinel's Corporate Accounting Department responsible for international accounting; corporate fiscal control, including capital cash management and budgeting; 401k administration; benefits underwriting; REIT administration; and compliance and review of corporate tax returns. She began her career with Sentinel in 2004 and received her CPA in 2016. Ms. Aly received a BS from the University at Buffalo in 2004 and an MS from Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business.

Ana-Maria Aney is a First Vice President responsible for tax compliance. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2010, Ms. Aney worked at McGladrey, managing clients from diverse industries such as retail, real estate, telecommunications and entertainment, including foreign investments in the US and investments of US entities abroad. Ms. Aney holds a BS in Economics with a concentration in Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Carmen Arce

Carmen Arce is a First Vice President in Sentinel's Human Resources & Payroll Department. Ms. Arce joined Sentinel in 1991 originally with the Accounts Payable Department. In 1996, she transitioned to the Payroll Department. She is currently responsible for oversight of corporate, residential and commercial payrolls, as well as benefits administration. She has overseen numerous system implementations that advanced and improved Sentinel's payroll and personnel processes.

Robert Austin

Robert Austin is a First Vice President responsible for commercial property asset management, including office, industrial and retail assets. Mr. Austin joined Sentinel in 2007 and has worked on property transactions, due diligence and asset management since that time. Prior to joining Sentinel, Mr. Austin was employed for 20 years by Dean Witter Realty, a wholly owned subsidiary of Morgan Stanley & Co., where he was involved in all phases of commercial real estate. Mr. Austin graduated from Lehigh University with a BS degree in both Accounting and Finance. Mr. Austin is a Certified Public Accountant.

Steven Benjamin

Steven Benjamin is a First Vice President responsible for Risk Management, including the insurance programs for Sentinel, loss control and claims. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2021, Mr. Benjamin has held past leadership positions in Risk Management with SBE ENT Holdings, Morgans Hotel Group, Cablevision Systems Corporation, Barnes & Noble, Inc. and Volt Information Sciences Inc. He is also an Adjunct Professor with the Greenberg School of Risk Management at St. John’s University. Mr. Benjamin holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Risk Management certifications with The Institutes and is a licensed insurance consultant. He also has attained an MBA in Finance with Pace University.

Andrew Bon

Andrew Bon is a First Vice President in Sentinel's Information Technology Department. His responsibilities include unified communications, portal administration and software distribution. He began his career with Sentinel in 2007 as a Support Analyst in the Information Technology Department. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Support Manager for Revlon. Mr. Bon is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and attended Queens College.

Stephanie Chamblin

Stephanie Chamblin is a First Vice President in Sentinel’s Internal Audit department. She began her career with Sentinel in 1997 as an on-site property manager and served as an Asset Manager in the New York office. Ms. Chamblin attended the University of Kansas.

He started his real estate career in portfolio accounting holding a position of Controller for a core separate fund and went to college at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines with a major in Business Management.

Samantha Davis is a First Vice President and Assistant Portfolio Manager in Sentinel's Portfolio Management Group responsible for several commingled funds and separate accounts. Previously, she was a member of Sentinel's transactions group, responsible for residential acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2014, Ms. Davis was in Investor Relations at DLC Management, a shopping center investment firm, and in Business Development at Tungsten Property, a New York City brokerage company. Ms. Davis received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.

Noah Gold is a First Vice President and Assistant Corporate Counsel. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2020, Mr. Gold worked at Ascena Retail Group, Inc., where he served as Senior Counsel as part of the company's Labor & Employment team. Mr. Gold earned his BA from Emory University and his JD from Rutgers School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey.

Prior to joining Sentinel in 2013, he was an Associate responsible for residential acquisitions and portfolio management for Tripointe Property Group, with a focus on Tripointe's portfolio in the southeast. Lewis Hall is a First Vice President in the Information Technology Department. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2006, he was a Consultant at Alliance Capital Management. After serving in the United States Navy, Mr. Hall received an Associate degree in Information Technology from Fountainhead College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Tusculum College and a Master's degree in Finance from Baruch College. Audrey Hirshberg is a First Vice President and has been head of Sentinel’s Cash Management Department since 1989. She has also served as an Assistant Payroll Supervisor and Property Accountant at Sentinel. Prior to joining Sentinel in 1985, Ms. Hirshberg was a Payroll Supervisor with Moore & Schley, Cameron & Co. from 1983 to 1985 and a Senior Payroll/Accounting Clerk with Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette from 1982 to 1983. Ms. Hirshberg attended Kingsborough Community College.

Roger Ludvigsen is a First Vice President and Operations Controller responsible for special projects in the Corporate Accounting Department. Prior to joining the firm in 1994, Mr. Ludvigsen was a Staff Accountant at Middex Development Corporation, a real estate development and film company. Mr. Ludvigsen has a BS in Business, majoring in accounting, from the College of Staten Island.

Allison Malcolm Carroll is a First Vice President in Sentinel's Research & Communications Department responsible for designing collateral materials at both the property and corporate levels, as well as the firm’s public relations platform. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2000, Ms. Malcolm Carroll was an Art Director for Calfo Aron, LLC and a Senior Designer at H2O Advertising and Design. Ms. Malcolm Carroll received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Parsons The New School for Design in New York and is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts.

Samuel McConnell

Samuel McConnell is a First Vice President and Assistant Portfolio Manager in Sentinel's Portfolio Management group responsible for several commingled funds and separate accounts. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2016, Mr. McConnell was an Analyst in the Building Repositioning group at Tishman Construction, responsible for sourcing and underwriting value-add office deals. From 2012 to 2014, Mr. McConnell worked as an Engineer at Lend Lease in Sydney, Australia, responsible for structural/civil works and MEP services. Mr. McConnell graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil degree) and a Bachelor of Business (Finance degree).

Marisol Pelaez-Leong

Marisol Pelaez-Leong is a First Vice President responsible for residential asset management in Sentinel's East region residential portfolio group, as well as for Sentinel's build to rent portfolio in Australia. Prior to taking over this position in 2019, Ms. Pelaez-Leong was in Sentinel's acquisition group and served as an Asset Manager in Sentinel's West region residential portfolio group. She joined the firm in 1992. Ms. Pelaez-Leong graduated from Maryknoll College in Manila, Philippines with a BS in International Relations with focus on International Economics and International Law.

David Stenger

David Stenger is a First Vice President in Sentinel's residential transactions group. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2002, Mr. Stenger was an Equity Research Associate at Lehman Brothers and worked as an Exploration Geologist managing various precious metals and diamond projects in Brazil, Guyana and Uruguay. Mr. Stenger received a BA degree from Denison University and an MS in Economic Geology from the University of Michigan. He more recently received an MBA in Finance from the University of North Carolina and is a CFA charterholder and a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts.

Carrie Stieglitz

Carrie Stieglitz is a First Vice President responsible for asset and property management in Sentinel’s West region residential portfolio group. Prior to joining Sentinel in 1991, Ms. Stieglitz was an Acquisitions and Sales Manager at Philips International Holding Corp. and served as an Investment Analyst for Concord Assets Group, Inc. from 1982-1987. Ms. Stieglitz received a BA and MPA from New York University.

David Witthuhn is a First Vice President responsible for commercial property asset management, including office, industrial and retail assets. He is also a portfolio manager for several of Sentinel’s commercial accounts. Mr. Witthuhn joined Sentinel in 2014 and has worked on property transactions, due diligence and asset management since that time. Prior to joining Sentinel, Mr. Witthuhn worked in various asset management roles for the New York City Economic Development Corporation and Paramount Group, Inc. He received a BA from The George Washington University, an MS in Real Estate Investment & Development from New York University and is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).

Carl York

CARL YORK

Carl D. York is a First Vice President responsible for fair housing, policy training and risk management field work. Prior to joining Sentinel in 1984, Mr. York served as a District Manager for Triangle Associates, Inc. He holds the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) and Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS) designations from the National Apartment Association (NAA). Mr. York is a licensed Indiana and Illinois Real Estate Broker. He has received accreditation by the National and Indiana Apartment Associations as an instructor of CAM and CAPS courses and is also approved to teach fair housing and ethics courses by the State of Indiana. Mr. York is a member of IREM, the NAA, Indiana Association of Realtors and the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Apartment Association. He serves as the Chairman of the IREM Ethics Committee, which oversees all ethics education and enforcement for IREM membership. He is also a member of IREM's Governing Council. He has served as Chairman of the IAR Equal Opportunity in Housing committee and the IREM National Fair Housing and International Affairs Committees.

Christine Bilasz

Christine Bilasz is a Vice President responsible for managing the daily operations of the commercial and residential Accounts Payable Department. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2023, Mr. Beim worked for The KRE Group for 17 years where he was responsible for managing operations for a portfolio of newly developed luxury apartment buildings in Jersey City, NJ. Mr. Beim received his undergraduate degree from Towson University and his MBA from Fordham University Graduate School of Business.

Michael Gershman is a Vice President responsible for national value-added residential acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2021, he was Acquisitions Director at New York-based privately-owned developer Infinity Collective, responsible for acquisitions of value-add multifamily, retail, mixed-use and hospitality real assets across major US east coast urban markets. From 2013 to 2015, Mr. Gershman worked on east coast acquisitions at Deutsche Asset Management’s real estate platform (formerly RREEF). Mr. Gershman started his professional career in portfolio management at RREEF, with a focus on RREEF’s flagship core commingled fund and several separate accounts. Mr. Gershman received a BS from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business with a dual major in Economics and Finance. He is active in the NYU Stern Center for Real Estate Finance Research (CREFR) and Urban Land Institute.

Seth Katz

Seth Katz is a Vice President responsible for overseeing design, construction and engineering projects across Sentinel's commercial portfolio. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2017, he was the head of commercial projects at a high-end boutique New York general contracting firm. He started his career as a Mechanical Engineer for the Federal Government and has since held various project management and executive roles with real estate development, construction and engineering consulting firms. Mr. Katz earned an MS in Engineering and Technology Management and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University.

Enna Lipovetsky

Enna Lipovetsky is a Vice President responsible for asset and property management in Sentinel’s West region residential portfolio group. She began her career with Sentinel in 2000 and previously served in an Analyst position before joining the Asset Management Group in 2008. Ms. Lipovetsky received a BA from Hofstra University.

Margaret Marion is a Vice President and Human Resources Director in Sentinel's Human Resources & Payroll department. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2023, Ms. Marion worked for Audacy, Inc. where she was Regional Director, Human Resources. She has over 20 years of experience in all facets of HR. Ms. Marion received a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Lafayette College, where she serves on their College Career Services Center and Employer Advisory Board.

Christoph Nickisch is a Vice President of Sentinel Real Estate Investment Corporation responsible for investments in the German market. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2019, Mr. Nickisch was a Managing Partner at TSP OfficePro GmbH. Previously, he worked for Lend Lease Group in Duesseldorf. Steven Nieglos is a Vice President responsible for residential asset and property management. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2015, Mr. Nieglos managed assets in Northern New Jersey for Roseland Property Company. He received a BA from James Madison University and holds real estate licenses in New Jersey and Hawaii.

Margaret Park is a Vice President in Sentinel's Research & Communications Department, designing marketing materials at both the property and corporate levels. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2000, Ms. Park received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Hawaii.

Emily Paup is a Vice President in Sentinel's Research & Communications Department, responsible for web development and SEO for the corporate, property and commercial websites, as well as the firm’s social media initiatives. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2011, Ms. Paup worked for Volunteers of America Western Washington where she managed their website and created digital media as Social Media & Information Coordination Specialist. Ms. Paup received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing, Literature and Publishing with a minor in Photography from Emerson College.

Sara Scharf is a Vice President and Controller in Sentinel’s financial reporting department. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2010, Ms. Scharf was a Manager at Ernst & Young LLP in the Real Estate Assurance practice. Ms. Scharf received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Yeshiva University. She is licensed as a CPA in the state of New York.

Jeffrey Scott is a Vice President and Compliance Controller in Sentinel’s Corporate Accounting Department responsible for overseeing compliance-related accounting functions. He began his career with Sentinel in 2001 as a Senior Accountant. Mr. Scott received his CPA license in 2000. Mr. Scott received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from SUNY at New Paltz.

Catherine Sherzer is a Vice President and Sustainability Officer responsible for Sentinel's Sustainability initiatives. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2015, Ms. Sherzer worked at JP Morgan, responsible for the acquisition, development due diligence and capital programs for real estate related investment funds. She holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University. Ms. Sherzer is a LEED accredited professional and prior Young Leader Chair and long-time member of the Urban Land Institute.

Jonathan Shrift

Jonathan Shrift is a Vice President and Project Director in Sentinel's Architectural Design group. He also serves as a Sustainability Officer for the firm. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2019, Mr. Shrift was a senior designer and project manager at HOK, a global design, architecture, engineering and planning firm. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University and his MS degree in Environmental Building Design from the University of Pennsylvania. He is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects, a Certified Planner through the American Planning Association, a LEED Accredited Professional through the US Green Building Council, as well as an associate member of the Urban Land Institute.

Carrie Sitterley

Carrie Sitterley is a Vice President responsible for residential asset management in Sentinel's East region residential portfolio group. Ms. Sitterley joined Sentinel in 1996. Prior to taking over her current position in 2023, she held various roles including on-site Assistant Manager, General Manager and District Manager during her tenure at the firm. Ms. Sitterley has an Associate Degree in Business. She received her Certified Apartment Manager designation from the National Apartment Association and currently holds her Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Jeanette Toro

Jeanette Toro is a Vice President in Sentinel’s Personnel Department concentrating on the administration of worker’s compensation claims and the administration of benefits and personnel matters. She joined Sentinel in 1993 and has obtained a Certificate of Human Resources Management from NYU. Ms. Toro is currently a member of the Society of Human Resource Management.

Jonathan Velez is a Vice President in Sentinel's tax department responsible for tax compliance for most of the core and value-added funds, the compliance of the REITs, and some of the corporate income tax compliance. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2014, Mr. Velez worked with the tax compliance group at Viacom Inc. Mr. Velez earned his BS degree in both Accounting and Finance from Montclair State University.

Jeffrey Walsh is a Vice President in Sentinel’s commercial portfolio group. Mr. Walsh joined Sentinel in 1985 as Property Manager of its first commercial property in Washington, DC. Mr. Walsh holds a BA degree from the University of Maryland. He is currently a member of the Metropolitan-Washington Chapter of Building Owners and Managers Association International.

Ryan Yurcich is a Vice President responsible for residential asset management in Sentinel’s West region residential portfolio group. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2014, Mr. Yurcich managed assets in Southern California for Western National Group. He holds the Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management and received his BS from California State University at Chico. He is also a licensed real estate broker in both Arizona and California.

David Rodriguez Sanchez is a ESG Asset Manager and Sustainability Officer responsible for Sentinel's Sustainability initiatives. Prior to joining Sentinel in 2023, Mr. Rodriguez Sanchez worked at RENU Communities, a subsidiary of Taurus Investment Holdings, where he was responsible for techno-economic analyses and implementation of turnkey retrofits of properties, with a focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida and is a certified Green Globes Professional.
