Sentinel Real Estate has acquired Hearthstone Investments, a UK-based investment manager specializing in affordable private rental housing. The acquisition builds on Sentinel’s formal entry into the UK in January 2026 and marks another important step in the growth of its global residential platform. The Hearthstone team will be integrated into Sentinel’s global business.
The transaction combines Sentinel’s international residential investment and operating experience with Hearthstone’s established UK team, institutional relationships and nationwide portfolio. It provides Sentinel with a strong foundation from which to pursue further opportunities across the UK living sector.

An Established UK Housing Platform
Founded in 2009, Hearthstone was an early participant in the UK affordable private rental housing sector and launched its first residential investment fund in 2012. The business has since raised and deployed capital on behalf of UK Local Government Pension Schemes and other institutional investors.
Its portfolio includes more than 1,800 homes across England, Scotland and Wales, representing over £400 million in assets under management. The modern homes and flats are located in communities with access to transportation, amenities, schools and public green spaces.

By bringing Hearthstone into its global organization, Sentinel adds an experienced local team and an established operating base to its growing UK business. Hearthstone, in turn, joins a vertically integrated international real estate investment platform with residential expertise, global resources and in-house capabilities across acquisitions, asset management and property operations.
