Sentinel Real Estate Acquires Two Luxury Apartment Communities in Washington, D.C. Suburb

Sentinel has recently acquired two luxury apartment communities located in sought-after, affluent suburbs of Washington, D.C. – Aventon Crown in Gaithersburg, Maryland and Brentford at The Mile in Tysons, Virginia.

Aventon Crown, which has been rebranded as Rockwell at Crown, benefits from an optimal location in the Montgomery County suburbs of Maryland, providing quick and convenient access to Washington, D.C. The property is located across the street from the Rio Lakefront, which offers residents direct access to shopping, dining, entertainment and outdoor recreation options within easy walking distance. Residents also have convenient commuting access to the greater Washington area via a complimentary shuttle to the Shady Grove D.C. Metro station, the I-270 thoroughfare and the Maryland Intercounty Connector (ICC). Additionally, the I-270 Technology/BioTech Corridor, where the property is located, contains one of the largest clusters of life science companies in the US along with the National Institute of Health/National Cancer Institute and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Rockwell at Crown

The newly rebranded Rockwell at Crown offers upscale interiors, a full complement of community amenities and convenient access to the greater D.C. area.

Brentford at The Mile similarly offers seamless access to Downtown D.C. and other destinations in the metropolitan area via two Silver Line Metro stations located nearby, the Capital Beltway (I-495) and the Dulles Toll Road. It also benefits from its proximity to the wide variety of retail, dining and entertainment options at the popular Tysons Corner Center, Tysons Galleria, and The Boro, as well as the headquarters of major submarket employers Freddie Mac, Capital One and Hilton Hotels and Resorts.

Completed in 2022, Rockwell at Crown is a 386-unit luxury apartment community that comprises spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom units featuring stunning views of Sugarloaf Mountain. The upscale interiors feature stainless steel appliances, glass tile backsplashes, built-in wine racks, keyless entry, smart thermostats, USB outlets, solar window shades, walk-in closets, built-in desks, full-sized washer/dryers and private patios or balconies. Community amenities include a fitness center with LifeFitness and TRX Systems equipment, a yoga studio, a conference room, a resident-exclusive podcast studio, remote working areas with offices, a lounge with a coffee bar, a resort-style pool with private cabanas, grilling stations, a pet spa, bike storage and repair shop, secure covered parking and EV charging stations.

Brentford at The Mile

Brentford at The Mile provides easy access to Downtown D.C. and surrounding areas, elegantly appointed interiors with high-quality fixtures and a variety of thoughtfully designed community amenities including the courtyard lounge area pictured above.

Constructed in 2023, Brentford at The Mile is a seven-story, 411-unit luxury apartment building that offers studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units that include designer kitchens with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, keyless entry and full-sized washer/dryers. Residents can enjoy a range of community amenities including a 3,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center, swimming pool, picnic area with grilling stations, a clubhouse with a social lounge, pet spa and EV charging stations.
